This report is the latest in a series published jointly by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the WHO Regional Office for Europe that has been reporting data on HIV and AIDS in the WHO European Region and in the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA) since 2007. It finds that while epidemic patterns and trends vary widely across European countries, nearly 107 000 people were diagnosed with HIV in the European Region in 2022, including around 17 000 in the EU/EEA.</p> <a href="/en/type-publication/report" hreflang="en">Report</a> <picture> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/aae_publications_wide_350/public/2022-12/Asset%201AP.png?h=7d3ddf68&amp;itok=Rma9wX9J 1x" media="(min-width: 1025px)" type="image/png"/> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2022-12/Asset%201AP.png?itok=wOQxMrfi 1x" media="(max-width: 1024px)" type="image/png"/> <img src="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2022-12/Asset%201AP.png?itok=wOQxMrfi" alt="ECDC WHO" /> </picture> ECDC, WHO <div class="field--label">Is the material copyright protected?</div> Yes <div class="field--label">Website</div> https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/publications-data/hiv-aids-joint-report-surveillance-2021-data <li>(Undocumented) Migrants</li> <li>Gay men and other MSM</li> <li>Heterosexuals</li> <li>Injecting drug users (IDUs)</li> <li>LGBTI</li> <li>Men having sex with men (MSM)</li> <li>People living with HIV (PLHIV)</li> <li>Sex workers</li> <li>Women</li> <li>WHO European region</li> <li>Co-infections</li> <li>Epidemiology</li> <li>Gender</li> <li>Prevention</li> <li>Sexual and reproductive health</li> Fri, 23 Dec 2022 11:32:17 +0000 shabnam.abdullayeva_2293 4613 at http://aidsactioneurope.org Rapid Assessment on Access to PrEP in EU/EEA Countries http://aidsactioneurope.org/en/publication/rapid-assessment-access-prep-eueea-countries <span>Rapid Assessment on Access to PrEP in EU/EEA Countries</span> <span><span>shabnam.abdullayeva_2293</span></span> <span>Thu, 12/01/2022 - 09:25</span> <drupal-render-placeholder callback="flag.link_builder:build" arguments="0=node&amp;1=4589&amp;2=follow_content" token="mGXkrOvyxHAsB2wVICydkdsh6GdaCnJ8DoN_iHNSJeQ"></drupal-render-placeholder> <p class="text-align-justify">The efforts to expand the use of PrEP face challenges worldwide. The new guidance is the result of a year-long process that saw more than 80 experts and members of the public give inputs and is published 21 years after the first edition appeared.</p> <p>The HIV prevention goal set in the United Nations 2016 Political Declaration on Ending AIDS is to reduce new HIV infections to less than 200 000 by 2030. To this end, UNAIDS and WHO strongly support all valid approaches to improving HIV prevention technology, provision and use, while also recognizing their role in promoting the rights of populations affected by HIV. This revised guidance can be used to support all stakeholders in designing and conducting ethically and scientifically sound HIV prevention trials that advance the response towards the 2030 HIV prevention goal.</p> <p>This document is also available in Portuguese.</p> <div class="field--label">Year</div> 2021 <picture> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/aae_publications_wide_350/public/ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trials_en.pdf_.png?h=0292e692&amp;itok=nB52Xg5P 1x" media="(min-width: 1025px)" type="image/png"/> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trials_en.pdf_.png?itok=WoDN7e4C 1x" media="(max-width: 1024px)" type="image/png"/> <img src="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trials_en.pdf_.png?itok=WoDN7e4C" alt="ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trialsenpdfpng" /> </picture> UNAIDS, WHO <div class="field--label">Is the material copyright protected?</div> I don't know <div class="field--label">Website</div> https://www.unaids.org/en/resources/documents/2021/ethical-considerations-in-hiv-prevention-trials <div class="file"> <div class="default"> <a href="http://www.aidsactioneurope.org/sites/default/files/ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trials_pt.pdf" type="application/pdf; length=287276" title="Open file in new window" target="_blank" class="publication-download">ethical-considerations-hiv-prevention-trials_pt.pdf</a> </div> </div> <li>Ethnic minorities</li> <li>Gay men and other MSM</li> <li>General public</li> <li>Heterosexuals</li> <li>LGBTI</li> <li>Men having sex with men (MSM)</li> <li>Migrants</li> <li>People who are/were in prisons</li> <li>People who use drugs (PUD)</li> <li>Sex workers</li> <li>Women</li> <li>Global</li> <li>Advocacy</li> <li>Care and support</li> <li>Epidemiology</li> <li>Prevention</li> <li>Testing and counselling</li> <li>Treatment</li> Wed, 10 Feb 2021 12:43:00 +0000 admin 4385 at http://aidsactioneurope.org Improving men’s uptake of HIV testing and linkage to services http://aidsactioneurope.org/en/publication/improving-men%E2%80%99s-uptake-hiv-testing-and-linkage-services <span> Improving men’s uptake of HIV testing and linkage to services</span> <span><span>admin</span></span> <span>Fri, 02/05/2021 - 12:31</span> <drupal-render-placeholder callback="flag.link_builder:build" arguments="0=node&amp;1=4384&amp;2=follow_content" token="Ug6cDNY8xphL-3mDtk8SNHMkfyFjkThOEjy2sry2cF8"></drupal-render-placeholder> <p>In 2019 an estimated 7.2 million people, 19% of all those with HIV, were undiagnosed. Missed targets have resulted in 3.5 million more HIV infections and 820 000 more AIDS-related deaths since 2015 than if the world was on track to meet the 2020 targets. In addition, the response could be set back further, by 10 years or more, if the COVID-19 pandemic results in severe disruptions to HIV services.</p> <a href="/en/type-publication/report" hreflang="en">Report</a> <div class="field--label">Year</div> 2020 <picture> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/aae_publications_wide_350/public/2020%2520Global%2520AIDS%2520Update%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Seizing%2520the%2520moment%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Tackling%2520entrenched%2520inequalities%2520to%2520end%2520epidemics.png?h=484bc49f&amp;itok=vJnFOP2d 1x" media="(min-width: 1025px)" type="image/png"/> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2020%2520Global%2520AIDS%2520Update%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Seizing%2520the%2520moment%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Tackling%2520entrenched%2520inequalities%2520to%2520end%2520epidemics.png?itok=u7khZk-n 1x" media="(max-width: 1024px)" type="image/png"/> <img src="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2020%2520Global%2520AIDS%2520Update%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Seizing%2520the%2520moment%2520%25E2%2581%25A0%25E2%2580%2594%2520Tackling%2520entrenched%2520inequalities%2520to%2520end%2520epidemics.png?itok=u7khZk-n" alt="2020-Global-AIDS-Update--Seizing-the-moment--Tac" /> </picture> UNAIDS <div class="field--label">Copyright holder</div> <a href="/en/publication/2020-global-aids-update-%E2%81%A0%E2%80%94-seizing-moment-%E2%81%A0%E2%80%94-tackling-entrenched-inequalities-end" hreflang="en">UNAIDS</a> <div class="field--label">Is the material copyright protected?</div> Yes <div class="field--label">Website</div> https://aids2020.unaids.org/report/ <div class="file"> <div class="default"> <a href="http://www.aidsactioneurope.org/sites/default/files/2020_global-aids-report_en.pdf" type="application/pdf; length=13106260" title="Open file in new window" target="_blank" class="publication-download">2020_global-aids-report_en.pdf</a> </div> </div> <li>(Undocumented) Migrants</li> <li>Ethnic minorities</li> <li>Gay men and other MSM</li> <li>General public</li> <li>Health care professionals</li> <li>Heterosexuals</li> <li>Injecting drug users (IDUs)</li> <li>LGBTI</li> <li>Men having sex with men (MSM)</li> <li>Migrants</li> <li>NGOs</li> <li>People living with HIV (PLHIV)</li> <li>People who are/were in prisons</li> <li>People who use drugs (PUD)</li> <li>Policy makers</li> <li>Prisoners (ex-)</li> <li>Refugees</li> <li>Sex workers</li> <li>Tourists / travellers</li> <li>Women</li> <li>Youth</li> <li>Global</li> <li>Advocacy</li> <li>Affordability</li> <li>Ageing with HIV</li> <li>Capacity building</li> <li>Care and support</li> <li>Co-infections</li> <li>Epidemiology</li> <li>Gender</li> <li>Harm reduction</li> <li>HIV and labor</li> <li>Human rights</li> <li>Inequalities in health</li> <li>Laws and regulations</li> <li>Legislation</li> <li>Media</li> <li>Migration</li> <li>Monitoring and Evaluation</li> <li>Policy</li> <li>Positive prevention</li> <li>Post-exposure prophylaxis (PeP)</li> <li>Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP)</li> <li>Prevention</li> <li>Quality development and assurance</li> <li>Reproductive health</li> <li>Research</li> <li>Resource mobilisation</li> <li>Sexual and reproductive health</li> <li>Sexual education</li> <li>Social issues</li> <li>STI&#039;s</li> <li>Stigma and discrimination</li> <li>Testing and counselling</li> <li>Treatment</li> <li>Treatment as prevention (TasP)</li> <li>Tubercolosis</li> <li>Universal access</li> <li>Viral hepatitis</li> <li>Work and HIV</li> Mon, 03 Aug 2020 14:55:00 +0000 admin 4368 at http://aidsactioneurope.org Women and HIV.
