The new guidance is the result of a year-long process that saw more than 80 experts and members of the public give inputs and is published 21 years after the first edition appeared.</p> <p>The HIV prevention goal set in the United Nations 2016 Political Declaration on Ending AIDS is to reduce new HIV infections to less than 200 000 by 2030. To this end, UNAIDS and WHO strongly support all valid approaches to improving HIV prevention technology, provision and use, while also recognizing their role in promoting the rights of populations affected by HIV. The project produced a comparative legal report based on legal survey launched in the 10 countries. One of the key findings of this project showed that people in prison and other closed settings have reduced access to HIV-, viral hepatitis-, and TB- services, compared to the general population, and there is also lack of data on prevalence of different conditions and diseases, which makes planning and budgeting for services more difficult.</p> <a href="/en/type-publication/report" hreflang="en">Report</a> <picture> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/aae_publications_wide_350/public/acceess%2520prisons.png?h=35c46084&amp;itok=iEcHqlHL 1x" media="(min-width: 1025px)" type="image/png"/> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/acceess%2520prisons.png?itok=s5DfB_OA 1x" media="(max-width: 1024px)" type="image/png"/> <img src="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/acceess%2520prisons.png?itok=s5DfB_OA" alt="acceess-prisonspng" /> </picture> European HIV Legal Forum <div class="field--label">Is the material copyright protected?</div> No <div class="file"> <div class="default"> <a href="http://www.aidsactioneurope.org/sites/default/files/EHLF%2520prisons%2520final%25281%2529.pdf" type="application/pdf; length=2728875" title="Open file in new window" target="_blank" class="publication-download">EHLF%20prisons%20final%281%29.pdf</a> </div> </div> <li>Ethnic minorities</li> <li>Gay men and other MSM</li> <li>People who are/were in prisons</li> <li>Prisoners (ex-)</li> <li>Sex workers</li> <li>WHO European region</li> <li>Advocacy</li> <li>Care and support</li> <li>Inequalities in health</li> <li>Legislation</li> <li>Monitoring and Evaluation</li> <li>Social issues</li> <li>Testing and counselling</li> <li>Treatment</li> <li>Universal access</li> Thu, 03 Sep 2020 14:32:00 +0000 admin 4371 at http://aidsactioneurope.org UNAIDS DATA 2020 http://aidsactioneurope.org/en/publication/unaids-data-2020 <span>UNAIDS DATA 2020</span> <span><span>admin</span></span> <span>Mon, 08/10/2020 - 23:14</span> <drupal-render-placeholder callback="flag.link_builder:build" arguments="0=node&amp;1=4369&amp;2=follow_content" token="OAQ56gnYsK-54qxC-pUgtGH8bASTURIkFP7ffsB2fvA"></drupal-render-placeholder> <p>With the end of 2020 approaching, the latest data from countries show both progress and challenges. As the complex reality of HIV epidemics is increasingly understood, more HIV responses are sharpening their ability to identify gaps and develop strategies to reach people who are being left behind. However, too few countries have taken sufficient action to reach the interim milestones, leaving the world off track to achieve the three zeros by 2030.</p> <p>Measurable targets were set for 2030, and the United Nations (UN) General Assembly later articulated interim 2020 milestones in the 2016 Political Declaration on Ending AIDS:</p> <ul><li>To reduce new HIV infections to fewer than 500 000 by 2020.</li> <li>To reduce AIDS-related deaths to fewer than 500 000 by 2020.</li> <li>To eliminate HIV-related stigma and discrimination by 2020.</li> </ul> <a href="/en/type-publication/report" hreflang="en">Report</a> <div class="field--label">Year</div> 2020 <picture> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/aae_publications_wide_350/public/2020_aids-data-book_en.pdf_.png?h=0292e692&amp;itok=_2qMyjuf 1x" media="(min-width: 1025px)" type="image/png"/> <source srcset="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2020_aids-data-book_en.pdf_.png?itok=5PIQ231L 1x" media="(max-width: 1024px)" type="image/png"/> <img src="/sites/default/files/styles/publications_wide_945/public/2020_aids-data-book_en.pdf_.png?itok=5PIQ231L" alt="UNAIDS-data-2020" /> </picture> UNAIDS <div class="field--label">Copyright holder</div> <a href="/en/publication/unaids-data-2020" hreflang="en">UNAIDS</a> <div class="field--label">Is the material copyright protected?</div> Yes <div class="field--label">Website</div> https://www.unaids.org/en/resources/documents/2020/unaids-data <div class="file"> <div class="default"> <a href="http://www.wwww.aidsactioneurope.org/sites/default/files/2020_aids-data-book_en.pdf" type="application/pdf; length=13243995" title="Open file in new window" target="_blank" class="publication-download">2020_aids-data-book_en.pdf</a> </div> </div> <li>(Undocumented) Migrants</li> <li>Ethnic minorities</li> <li>Gay men and other MSM</li> <li>General public</li> <li>Health care professionals</li> <li>Heterosexuals</li> <li>Injecting drug users (IDUs)</li> <li>LGBTI</li> <li>Men having sex with men (MSM)</li> <li>Migrants</li> <li>NGOs</li> <li>People living with HIV (PLHIV)</li> <li>People who are/were in prisons</li> <li>People who use drugs (PUD)</li> <li>Policy makers</li> <li>Prisoners (ex-)</li> <li>Refugees</li> <li>Sex workers</li> <li>Tourists / travellers</li> <li>Women</li> <li>Youth</li> <li>Global</li> <li>Affordability</li> <li>Capacity building</li> <li>Care and support</li> <li>Co-infections</li> <li>Epidemiology</li> <li>Gender</li> <li>Inequalities in health</li> <li>Laws and regulations</li> <li>Monitoring and Evaluation</li> <li>Prevention</li> <li>Reproductive health</li> <li>Research</li> <li>Resource mobilisation</li> <li>STI&#039;s</li> <li>Testing and counselling</li> <li>Treatment</li> <li>Treatment as prevention (TasP)</li> Mon, 10 Aug 2020 23:14:00 +0000 admin 4369 at http://aidsactioneurope.org
