In this year’s report, Transgender Europe gives an overall assessment of how the strategy is delivering (or not) for trans people in the EU, as well as an update of what has been achieved toward the biggest highlights that we identified in our last report. We also include examples of how TGEU has been supporting the implementation of the strategy and our recommendations. Finally, we comment on other features of the strategy that were highlighted in our last report and present a table of main pieces of legislation and their status.

This document provides an overview of key considerations for the provision of the HIV continuum of care in the context of displaced people from Ukraine in the EU/EEA. This document has two aims: firstly, to outline what is known of the Ukrainian HIV epidemic, and secondly, to use the HIV continuum of care as a framework to set out suggestions based on published evidence and expert opinion on the management of the HIV continuum of care, with special consideration for people living with HIV from Ukraine. The document will also address the needs of those at risk of acquiring HIV. The main findings of this document were presented during an ECDC.

This progress report of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is one in a series of thematic reports based on information submitted by reporting countries in 2020 on monitoring implementation of the Dublin Declaration on Partnership to Fight HIV/AIDS.

In 2020, 40 out of 55 countries in Europe and Central Asia provided the latest available data on all four stages of the continuum of HIV care (compared to 34 countries in 2018). A total of 45 countries were able to provide data for at least two consecutive stages of the continuum of HIV care (compared to 42 in 2018).

Last year AAE conducted a survey among its member organizations about the affect of the COVID-19 pandemic on their sevices and finances and published "Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Report" The current report "Follow-up Report on the Continued Impact of Sars-Cov-2/Covid-19 Pandemic on Member Organisations within AAE Network" shows how the situation has developed for our member and partner organizations who participated in the first stage of the survey, and how the pandemic has aﬀected them in the longer run.

The survey shows that despite their resilience and innovation, AAE member organisations report that the extended public health and hygiene measure negatively aﬀect their services. There are substantial losses reported in activities that provide community building and peer-to-peer support. In addition, the organizations have suffered significant distress due to the additional service costs, as well as redestribution of many funding projects to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results of the survey also demonstrate that the COVID-19 pandemic disproportionately affects most marginalized communities and surfaces the existing inequalities in the society.

This report from the National Aids Trust supported by Trust for London, interviewed migrants living with HIV in the UK about their experience of living with HIV in the UK. The report found migrants are being left behind in the UK’s response to HIV, despite being disproportionately affected by HIV.

This report explores these and makes recommendations to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of migrants living with or at risk of HIV in the UK.

Explain to policymakers the particular challenges and impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and government responses among marginalised groups in Europe. This is done via a unique exercise mapping the inter-related impacts associated with homelessness, sex work, undocumented status, drug use, LGBTI identity and imprisonment according to the framework of the WHO Health Equity Status Report (HESR) essential conditions for a health life
Recommend solutions to help improve government responses, recovery measures and inform preparedness plans
Present the voices and actions of marginalised communities and civil society organisations currently working on the frontlines to support them through the pandemic and beyond. This section signposts to a variety of resources highlighting lived experiences and ongoing community-led responses across Europe
