This policy paper presents a review by the community sector on national AIDS responses in four countries and four regions. It summarizes the key findings, conclusions and recommendations based on research into community sector involvement and analysis of the 2008 national country reviews of the progress made on the 2001 Declaration of Commitment on HIV/AIDS and the 2006 Political Declaration on HIV/AIDS.
