This thematic paper provides a background on the experiences and best practices in integrating social and health care services for PLWH in the NDPHS countries. They include psychological counseling, social support, treatment of HIV-associated infections and care services provided by government institutions and NGOs. The document highlights examples of successful cooperation among medical and non-medical institutions in this respect, identifies challenges and provides recommendations.
