Science is a truly global endeavour with scientists sharing their knowledge with their colleagues around the world. Most health and bio-medical challenges
are borderless and if research is to help meet those challenges, an international approach is essential. This report describes 36 EU-funded research projects, including the EDCTP which aims to accelerate the development of drugs, vaccines and microbicides against HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.
